Our Love Story

A lot of people does not really know how our love story started, at the end of SY 1992-1993, we barely knew each other, by enrollment of SY 1993-1994, we were inseparable… Well, folks, here it is straight from the horses’ mouth…

He said…

Baby VicMarie and I first met as orgmates of UP Cursor (UP Association of Computer Science Majors) at an org group dynamics activity. This was year 1990 – Marie was a freshman transferee from Poli Sci and I was in my second year. Maraming nabighani sa ganda ni Marie with her kayumanggi beauty and her figure na ultra-sexy. She was also very smart and confident.

Not until three years later, when I just graduated and taking my pre-masteral courses and Marie was enrolled at her summer classes that our love story started. On a planned group movie outing ay kami ni Marie ang natira. Sumama na rin siya (siguro ay may crush din sa akin) and then was followed with more dates the rest of the summer term. By next school year’s enrollment, we were inseparable and so much in-love…and the rest is history…

Almost six years later (January 1999), now working in Chicago and on our Philippine vacation, I asked her to marry me. Marie, my sweetheart will now be my wife…

She said…

Baby MarieVic and I met 2 years before we became a couple. He was one batch ahead of me and also a member of CURSOR. We move in different circles and have not really been close aside from org and Eng’g Week activities.

Fast forward to year 1993, it was my senior year and I was taking classes to lighten my load for the year. It started out with one movie… then another… then another – di ko alam, nanliligaw na pala sya… He was so “mabango”, kind, sweet and thoughtful. I’ve never been with a guy like that – despite my resolve not to be involved with a Frat Guy (no offense EMC², hehehe) – i fell for him…

Our years together have always been full of love and laughter… It doesn’t matter what we do, going out or just staying home, I always felt happy and contented just being with him.

Bago pa lang kami, Vic already wants to get married, syempre di ako pumayag – I had high hopes and dreams then (daming prerequisites to marriage), like a house, a car, financial and emotional stability, etc. Kala ko, that time will never come. In January 1999, while on vacation in the Philippines – Vic asked me to marry him, we had dinner with our parents at Kamayan (sort of “pamanhikan”), to tell them we intend to spend our lives together…
