59/365: Retail Theraphy in action

I’ve been feeling a bit down since Friday, so a little pick me up is needed. I’ve trolled around Amazon to see if there are interesting gadgets I can buy, but ended up buying only $34 worth of stuff. None of them really exciting.

Meanwhile, I’ve been complaining to my girl friends about how much these bags cost, and how I just can’t get myself to spend that kind of moolah on a bag. Well, today is the day, I don’t mind spending those hard earned money my friend. Off I went to the outlet mall, and grabbed not just one but TWO of these beauties.

Yeah, this felt good!

Yeah, this felt good!

Let’s hope my practical side never wisens up to my impulsive side and regret this purchase. After all, I just learned that Coach stores have an open return policy (no day limit!).

58/365: Just another Saturday with the girls

It’s been 3 weeks since X attended swimming class! We missed the Feb. 6 class when I flew back from a red eye flight from SFO and classes have been cancelled the two weekends after that. So, today – she woke up excited to go swimming. Y woke up early too, so I brought her with us to the rec center to prepare her when it’s her turn to go swimming. It’s true what they say, practice makes perfect and after three weeks of being out of the water, X reverted back to being scared of it *sigh*. We also learned that Y, got bored watching :)

After class, we all trekked to McD’s for some french fries (X had quesadilla from Chipotle) and some fun time in their play area.

57/365: XYZ Portraits – by Daddy

I’ve taken a picture of this wall before and posted it on my facebook wall, and I am using it again for today’s photo of the day.

Portraits of X, Y and Z - by Daddy

Hubby makes these around the time the kids were 2 months old. He’d take a portrait I’ve taken and draw them on canvas. He’s a talented artist, that guy.

56/365: Goodbye War room

X was back in school today having fully recovered from her Tuesday sickness. Similarly, I am back in the office with my team since we have a commitment to deliver our project by end of day today.

We have been in this war room for a solid two weeks now, working in close proximity with each other and generally doing awesome work. The timelines were tight (our proposal asked for 6 weeks) and the requirements had a lot of holes. Despite those though – the team did an amazing job completing the tasks on by our commited time. Today’s photo is dedicated to the team, and since we will be out of this war room by tomorrow, we are saying good bye to the space.

Were sorry to see you go, but wed go crazy if we stay longer :)

Dear War Room,

We’re sorry to see you go, but we’d go crazy if we stay longer :)

55/365: Still at home with kids

Day 2 of Sick day with kids. Their temperatures are still up, but has gone down from yesterday. X looks to have perfectly come back with no incidents at all today. Y was also better, except she still has low grade fever.

Mostly though, the kids were better and we didn’t have to be on constant watch and attention. As a result, I really spent most of the day working from home.

Don’t remember what was the photo of the day today (also on the missing phone). I think it’s of the thermometer showing the kids temperature. But with everything that happened this week, Wednesday seem so far away.

If (and when) the phone shows up (if it ever does) – I’ll post photos up.

54/365: Throw up Olympics

WARNING: Today’s blog may contain things that you might consider gross. Read at your own peril.

This day begins about 6am when I heard hubby get up and carry X to the bathroom in a hurry. I asked what’s going on and he said “She’s throwing up!”. Around 7:30am, it was Y’s turn to wake up the same way (gagging and throwing up on the bed). It turns out most of our day would be like that, what with waiting which kids turn is next and which part of the house has to be cleaned, vaccumed and laundered.

By the end of the day, the scoreboard goes: X – 4, Y – 2, Z – 3. It would have been funny except it’s also really exhausting, and sad for the kids. With all the cuddling and cleaning up with everyone, my photo of the day was taken with the iPhone (which is missing).

I do remember what it was though. A vignette of all the items on hand today: Pedialyte, Children’s Tylenol (for X and Y), Infant Tylenol (for Z) and the ear thermometer.

If (and when) the phone is found, I will post the photo up.

53/365: The Lost Day

This was a crazy week so I have about a week of backlog. I don’t even remember anything that happened this day and worst of all, since my phone is missing – I don’t have a photo for today :(

I think I can sum up my day as work… work… work… home… bed.

If (and when) I find my phone, the photo is coming up but I don’t want to wait anymore as it is tough when the backlog becomes so long.
